neco abruzzi 50cc safe?

Post by bennyboy87 »

i just got a 50cc neco abruzzi and im in love with it, had to give up my beloved vespa et2 and this has been a wonderful replacement, but i have noticed that alot of scootering "purists" knock it as a piece of shite and seem to be quite unkind about anyone who may dare to ride one. would just like to rave about my wonderful scooter and the fun i have on it with likeminded people. am i safe here? it would be great to get to know a few cool people.

Should be OK. It's a Kymco engine for starters. Not that I'm biased mind you.

Welcome aboard

Don't worry we have all kinds of shite and plastic fantastics on here. We generally get our own back on the "purists" by not stopping to help when they break down :) (not really)

Ride what you like, like what you ride, don't worry about people trying to manufacture a street cred or uniform - they think if they laugh first nobody will laugh at them.............. it isn't working

As far as I know the Neco is a well built little machine. I saw a test of the 125 version; it got a positive review.

Welcome to the muppets :) I ride a newish LML 125 and also an old but very nice Honda Foresight 250 so have a boot in both camps if you like.
I know what you mean about the "purists", having met a few on some scooter meets I'v attended who look at Me and my LML like something they have trodden in :? although my scoot is to all intents and purposes a vespa px 125, just made in india not italy and it's about £1200 cheaper :)

As long as You're happy with your scoot that's all that matters.
