hi all i brought a blue dash unit from my local shop ,but get this i asked piaggio about the unit and this is the answer i got, the unit is not sold in the uk and we have no tech info on it, really so what did i pay for 117 pounds, when i told them the part number and were it came from still no come back, oh i though this all stopped when jt finally gave up, i spent nearly 5k on a great scooter which the importer knows nothing about the add ons that come with it.when i trouble with my smart car not only did the garage listen to me they even had a merc tech person phone me and even phoned again after the bad parts were changed but told me why the problem happened.
piaggio have not changed in the years after jt even in milan they seemed like well fuck you we are not interested
i think that next time it will be a other honda even if they are boring

It's quite simple really.
If you buy an unofficial grey import product from a dealer, the dealer should provide the product support.

Only get the money back if the product has a defect surely?
Which would be difficult to assess without an X10 to the spec of the country in which the dash is sold as an official Piaggio product.

Re: do piaggio live in the real world
If a dealer sold an as yet unreleased/unofficial product, then that dealer is the one who should be supporting you. It's not Piaggio's fault someone has jumped the gun and brought one in. I do hope you get it fitted ok though, as I'm sure it will look great. It's also not very hard to figure these things out either. You just need someone with some electrical knowledge. I bet even a local motorcycle dealer will be able to fit it for you if you went along for a chat. Keep us all informed on this if you will. Good luck.

Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

It surely should just be a plug in replacement ? So no electrical jiggery pokery...Taking off panels to get at such things can be a pain but rewarding in that you know where things are internally.
