Could anyone post the article in the mag Scootering 317 ( november 2012 ) of an old
Lambretta with a modern automatic engine of 250 or 300 cc, please?

My cousin has 3 Lammies with modern 300cc engines in.

I did read they run the vespa 250 300 engines but on a carb not sure how true that is .There was one at a scooter meet I went to looked nice

Id say thats a gilera runner 180 2 stroke in that another popular engine choice

Wow! What a nice job someone has done on that bike. Like the colour too. ;)

And for anyone interested, don't forget that the new Lambretta 300 comes out later this year with the new 300cc Sym engine. It should go well. I have a dealer near me who has been selling the new 125, and that too has a Sym engine. Don't know what the price is going to be just yet but it's a hoot to ride according to what he tells me.
