I'm not saying it was windy today....

Post by MrGrumpy »

...but it blew my baby burger clean off its centre stand!!! Fortunately, it didn't fall completely over, just against a railing nearby.
It ought to have been protected from the wind as its parked in a hollow, but there must have been some mega eddy through a passage alongside the building! Or since it happened minutes after I put a bag of groceries in the topbox, maybe the extra weight is critical for stability!!!!

Bloody hell

I always thought scoots would be less vulnerable to that because of the low centre of gravity and relatively high weight

I guess its not as stable on the centre stand as you think. If you take your scoot on a ferry, they always put it on the sidestand, not the centrestand, and tie it down.

Well, you get so many weird characters round here, the police can't arrest everyone! No apparent damage - it didn't go fully down just toppled 30 degrees on a cycle rack rail.

Baby burger (200)..not the whopper. If the wind blew a 650 Burger over, it'd be the apocalypse!
