... because it reminds me of the dangers out there on the road.

I don't like them but it reminds me just how careful I should be, not to speed, not to panic and grab my brakes, be aware of car drivers and other riders, read ahead and many other things.

It doesn't affect me so much.
I watched the first 25 mins or so and reckon a lot of the crashes were caused by poor riding. Obviously there were some that couldn't be avoided but if some of those riders rode a bit more defensively with a bit less speed , the video would last about 10 mins instead of an 1hr 16
I just hope carelessness, tiredness, or more importantly, chance, doesn't put me in one of those situations.

I agree with funky boy as it does make you think about how you ride out there.

At a rough guess having seen the whole thing, about 10% of those incidents are car driver error, but could still have been avoided by the rider. There's two amazing ones in that lot though were riders are doing the speed limit approximately and manage only just to avoid a child running out in front them coming off in the process. Props to those guys for having the presence of mind to dump their bikes safely to avoid a child.
I don't just watch videos like the above, I do like to watch this guy's videos. Most of the stuff he suggests I was already doing when I found him on youtube, but there is to me a wealth of knowledge to learn from and remind myself of.

Interesting!
I try to ride that way anyway but it is easier to do if you know the road well, traffic light sequences etc. And if the road isn't too busy.
Okay on the outskirts of Nottingham but obviously would be more difficult if he'd have gone along the A610 towards the centre

Crikey that was uncomfortable to watch - a good reminder of how vulnerable we really are!
I think the safest way to commute is brilliantly demonstrated at 1:15:37 - and I'm off to practice that now - Zzzz!

I was just amazed at how little protective clothing the majority of these people wore. Tearing along at what seemed, too fast for the road conditions, and wearing only teashirts and jeans, they certainly never heard of riding defensively, a lot of those collisions could have been avoided by reading the road and anticipating what could happen.
