Newbie to forum
Hi guys. Could do with some help here! I've had, in the past, the Honda Silverwing (liked it, from memory!), Burgie 125, 400 and 650 and am wondering whether the 650 2013 version will be worth the wait? This seems like a stupid question I know as it's not yet been released in the UK (due in April I believe). I gather it's meant to be a little lighter with less drag, a bit better on fuel etc... with a hefty price tag - nearly 9 grand! My riding is mainly commuting and a LITTLE touring but my logic is, IF I can wait for the 2013 Burgie and love it, I MAY get rid of the car. However, April is quite a way away still and I'm getting a serious case of bus/car rage - but that's another story! My local dealer have offered to loan me their demo Burgie 400 if I pay full price for the Burgie 650 2013 in advance - that way, they say, I won't lose any money because I won't be paying, for example, first reg fees etc - I just do a swap when the 650 arrives (yeh, and they earn interest on the full payment for the 650!!). Trouble is, IF I do go down this route, if I get the 400 and then view the 650 (they are not getting any demonstrators) and don't like it (the 400 demo that is), then I'm stuck with a 400 that I don't particularly like - I find it a little growly and slow (the one I'm referring to isn't the top spec one either). Think I've answered my own question here but would be interested to hear your views - I'm so missing biking at the moment and getting caught in traffic jams, hate it!!! May have to cope with bus/car rage for a little longer but of course, sods law, the Burgie won't be available until the latter part of April/early May knowing my luck!! Ho hum.....

Hi and welcome. As an owner of the Piaggio X10 I suggest you have a look at it. Great scooter for £5000.00.

Thanks for that - I see it's only a 350cc engine though!? I suspect not fast enough for me but thanks for taking the trouble to replyfrankiej1949 wrote:Hi and welcome. As an owner of the Piaggio X10 I suggest you have a look at it. Great scooter for £5000.00.

Hi and welcome
Think if it were me I would look for a good deal on the current 650 and save some money.

Thanks for that, good advice. Only thing that puts me off is weight, fuel/tank size and digital display! I had a back problem so have to be careful and I gather new one is a little lighter. Thanks againVOZZA wrote:Hi and welcome
