Really sorry to start a new post on something that is part of another of my posts but after the day I've had I'm just looking or hoping for some confirmation so I can relax.

From what I've read there is no legal requirement as part of a m.o.t to have a lit reg plate.

Can anyone confirm?

I spent all afternoon trying to fix a wiring loom to no avail. And the more I did the more I found wrong.

6 hours and still no light.

As far as I know any thing over a moped has to have a litten plate

Its one of the things people forget when derestricting 50cc scoots

yes you do need a number plate light ,its a traffic offence without one, you could get pulled

Yep just managed to find confirmation on the VOSA site. I'm bolloxed then

crazy crazy lights. Managed to fix it at 10.30pm with just a torch in the street. That's dedication I think. Lets see what they do tomorrow. It all seems so hit and miss.

Can't you just bodge it by running some power from the brake light? It needs to work, doesn't need to look pretty.

How about someone riding on the pillion seat shining a red torch backwards??? Do you think that'll be good enough????

All lights fitted to a bike MUST work. I remember having a couple of spots fitted to my Honda G5 just for show, and it failed the MOT!!!

I was thinking of dangling some christmas tree light over the back and hoping for the best.
