Lifelong motorcyclist here with bad knees, neck and shoulders.
After this winter I am starting to feel envious of the weather protection, storage and comfort of a maxi-scooter.
Anybody tried the new piaggio X10? I would like a xevo400 really but they seem to be out of production now...

Lots of us are bikers who have seen the light.
For the same money as the X10 you can currently pick up a new Yamaha Majesty 400.

I swapped a Bonneville for a Majesty, straight swap. I know there are some good deals on brand new Majesties at the minute. I can't speak for the X10 but I am enjoying the Yamaha. You will be pleased you changed if my experience is anything to go by. I find the scooter gives me a certain 'mental freedom' get one and you will know what I mean.

Greetings from the Colonies. I'm not so certain that the move from bikes to scoots amounts to a religious experience but I did the switch and I won't be going back. As you say, weather protection and storage plus the comfy riding position on my Burger does it for me.

Hi Sam and welcome
Both the above mentioned scoots are highly regarded here I think. I had a Majesty 400 a year or 2 ago and it was great no problems whilst I had it except for my comfort on long runs due to me being a bit tall at 6'3" with 33" legs. The seat height was great but the knee room was too tight for me but everything else was good with 70 mpg and superb reliability.
I haven't ridden an X10 but I understand from others on this site that it is very good there are a couple of excellent reviews here.
