X-Max 400

Post by Bluebottle »

Anybody heard if the new Yamaha Xmax 400 will be coming to the UK? popcorn.gif

After I posted this pic I realised it has been ripped off Scooter station and doctored so "multiple sources" is looking more like it means "read it on scooter station and blagged it ".

I noticed the story on Scooter Station....if I translated the French correctly (which I may not have), its pure speculation and photoshopness, not a real model, either in concept or prototype!

The story is about the Majesty 400 being discontinued and speculation on what might replace it.

Indeed, but it also says that they have been told that the ground-work has started on a new "GT style" 400 (or at least that is how I read it - my french may well have let me down)

I get the speculation/rumour bit, but has anybody heard anything on this side of Le Manche?

Makes some financial sense to make the 125, 250 and 400 all with the same / similar underpinings and plastics...

Well, you'd have thought so, but Suzuki never seem to think so, with 3 entirely different scoots for the 4 engine sized Burgers! On the other hand, Piaggio seem to like stuffing anything from a 125 to a 500 engine in any scoot!

If you just found this using search:

The X-Max 400 is now on the Yamaha site http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/products/scooters/maxi/xmax400.aspx
Looks like we are getting it after all

Interesting that the RRP is a thousand less than the Majesty 400.
