Anyone got one of these? What are your opinions? I had a ride on one yesterday and seems a good all round bike.

I also test rode this last year. I still prefer an auto cvt type maxi-scooter and the better underseat storage is a must for me.

Spannerman (Dave) has a non-DCT and I'm sure he'll comment, I test rode one last year (again non-DCT) and think it's a great all-rounder.
There's an active NC Forum where you'll get more dedicated comment/advice, there seems to be a regular "DCT or non-DCT" debate with often heated comments. General conclusion {surprisingly} is DCT owners recommend them and others who've often never tried one are more negative.
Clearly more choice has to be good and DCT sales numbers are strong, if you want auto then it's pretty darn good!

I have a NC700X-DCT and I absolutely love it. It is so easy to ride and if ridden conservatively very economical. I am 6'3" and find comfort good.
In town nothing beats it from the lights. It has a sport mode for when you want to get a wriggle on and a manual paddle shift if you want. I use Drive mainly which is fast enough for me and it uses less juice. I never is the manual mode and don't feel I'm losing out on the riding experience. I got the DCT version because the power falls off quickly at high revs so the DCT takes care of that and changes up at the optimum time. You get a little less engine braking but I found that a little adjustment in riding style took care of that.
For me it's the ideal general purpose bike for running errands and shopping fun etc in all weathers except for snow and ice.
I got mine as an ex demo bike with 250 miles on the clock and a grand off the list price bargain.
