Hello folks, I'm new around here. Just back from the press launch for the fantastic Suzuki Burgman 650, check out my website for full details, it also carries news, reviews, kit and products for the scooter rider so is worth a look and if anybody ever wants to write an owners type test to put on the site that would be great.

Quote ‘ Launched in 2002 the Burgman was the original maxi scooter and quickly defined this new category. ‘ unquote. Then how was my Yamaha T-max registered in 2001, or, at you saying that the T-max is not a maxi scooter.

If you have got this simple fact wrong at the start of your article is the rest worth reading

Good press launch write up Iggy and welcome. Definitely a good improved model but not enough changes to justify a swap just yet for me and probably lose £1000s in the process to keep the salesmen in the lifestyle that they are accustomed to.

Slightly badly worded line Deeping, I've altered it. I was going from Suzuki press bumph for that bit, cheers for pointing it out :)

MCN are at the UK launch test (in Glencoe!) and there is a small piece on the website today, with a fuller report promised. They seemed to quite like it! Apparently, somethings changed to reduce the transmission drag with engine off, and they've fiddled with the front suspension to make it a big more agile. Can't help thinking that they should have done something to the rear to make it ride bad roads better....

Cheers Bornagainbiker :) MrGrumpy, MCN are currently riding their long term Burgman back from Scotland so expect regular reports on it throughout the year.
