Weather

Post by ridinhigh »

I dont know, about the joys of owning a scooter ,

think mine is mostly redundant these days
due to poor weather, at the moment its pissing it down ,and did so yesterday,

i get no pleasure whats so ever riding in the cold or wet,
its so much easier to jump in the car,
with spending half an putting the bike clothing on.
Hoping the weather gets better, other wise i think i,ll be selling my GTS

Well, the car is tempting until you reach the back of the first queue which you can't filter past, or are stuck behind every geriatric doing 35 in a 60 zone. Thats when you need a scooter, and sod the weather! Of course if you're not bothered about queuing then obviously a car is the thing for you!

That's a bit vague, which Saturday, which year.

Spring is supposed to be like this, not the hot summery ones we had for the last few years/

To be honest I live in the driest part of the UK so rains not too much of a problem here.

Frankly, if you worry about the weather in this country then biking is not for you. Sure, it's better in the dry and warm but anytime is good for a ride. Rain or shine in my book! Just wear the right gear and it's a joy. Just allow a little more time for kitting up. After all, the bike will clean up fine if you do it right.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 55 years & owned too many bikes to list here...
