Try Euro Car Parts for oils as they often ave some good deals on over the counter. I've used HiFlo filters for years. Normally get them from ebay cos i'm too lazy or dont have time to go to the local bike shops. You have two transmission filters which should be blown out/cleaned/repalced to make sur eyou have sufficient air flow through the CVT. Details of filters and oil specs can be found in this PDF.

When I had my first Tmax, I bought the filters from CMC Yamaha. And they were quite expensive.
Then I got a K&N filter. The square one, behind the screen. That can be cleaned and oiled.
It was £35 but then the cleaner and oil was £8. It'll probably do half a dozen changes, maybe more. The other 2 air filters (about £10.50 each) and the oil filter,
I get off Ebay. Hi flo or whatever I can get. I sometimes get a K&N oil filter when I see them around £7.50. I don't like paying any more.
I just had a look and the cheapest k&n oil filter is now £8.88.
I use good quality motorcycle oil but again, get it when its on offer. From bike shops, ebay or even amazon.

don't put modern oil in for a car engine, the friction modifiers will kill your wet clutch

As long as its got a JASO rating it will be fine for wet clutches.

Thanks for the info guys, it sure is a help, I have been avidly reading just about everything I can about my Tmax on the interweb, some of it slightly confusing some of it absolute bollocks, so always best to speak to people who own one. Any more help greatly received.
