Intercom Systems

Hi

Has anyone had any experience with Bluetooth intercom systems?
On my last bike we had a fully wired Autocom system that work great, but I would like something that is wireless.

What we’re after is a system that I can Bluetooth my phone/MP3 to my headset and listen to what I like and for my wife to be able to do the same. But with the ability still to be able to talk to each other and when the conversation has finished for the system to return to listening to our separate music, without having to press any buttons or switches. I would like also to be able to add a sat-nav to this also. Another must is for the audio quality to be good and clear.

I’ve had a look at a few systems Midland, Interphone, Cardo
But can’t be sure if they will do this.

Many Thanks
R

The high-end cardo do this. Though they cost a small fortune.

Both me and my friend have Nolan helmets with the Nolan bluetooth 3 kit installed. They have a very good bluetooth range between them - much more than the claimed 500 metres. They have A2DP too so you can listen wirelessly to your music or navigation from your iPhone. That's fine when you are riding solo but you cannot talk to each other and use A2DP at the same time. To do that you have to use the communicator cable between the phone and the helmet. We can then both listen to separate Satnav directions/music from our phones and have a conversation.
