Anyone know much about the new XMax 400 should be in the showrooms now? Rob.

Waiting for a local dealer to sort it out, seems they are late out from Yamaha - all down to the price to change... hopefully with a reasonable PX on mine...

XMax250 with 50% more power, 60% more torque, twin disk front brakes (I have always thought most scoots were under braked, being a supermoto rider/owner!) for a little more weight... what's not to like! - the looks are so-so, I prefer the styling of my older '09 model to that of the current 250, new one looks a little bit to many sharp line - like a 13 yr old designed it after watching transformers, but hey! - can't afford a T Max...

Took a ride to A2 Yamaha in Gravesend...
Got a fair-ish price on my X-Max 250 to PX...
Deposit down...
White or Gloss Black no issue, but no Matt Grey ones 'till the end of July beginning of August...
and so the wait begins...

was in my local yam dealer on sat and he said there is a lot of expectation surrounding the 400 along with a lot of interest ;) is the general biking population finally coming round to the fact scoots are the future :D

Also said big secretive announcement coming from Yamaha on 11th i think he said, dealers are being kept in the dark and are not too happy that Yam have been very slow (ie almost non existent) on the new model front in recent years what with the price hike the dealers have been struggling to compete.

I know the comic has been speculating about a load of new models and a new technology 3 cylinder engine for a range of bikes from Yam, i would also be nervous about buying a new top end model any time soon because they have got to do a "price re-alignment" soon to sell anything as they are so far out compared to the others especially Honda with their 700's/500's and 250 traily
Just bikes for me, oh and the odd car

Yeah....I'd be surprised if it didn't feature this new 3 cylinder engine....but I'd expect its not going to anything very sensible - maybe either for crotch-rocket types or some sort of Triumph Speed Triple competitor.

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; hmmm, I added & 'liked' the xmax 400 on Facebook. Yamaha have for the past two weeks posted an updated page titled the Darkside of Japan. ..with one day to go. I'll be taking sneaky looks on my phone at work tomorrow ;)

1500 hrs today apparently, looks naked/traily going on riding position and helmet type :?:
Hope they live up to the hype as few do these days.

I was behind a 13 plate Xmax the other day and was surprised to see that the rear indicators are much more like red, not orange. Quite surprised at that, the last time I saw bad indicators like that were on an X8.
