This won't mean much if you have not been following the announcements about the next generation game consoles.

A new Sony video has been released showing the full process of sharing a game amongst Playstation owners. http://www.independent.ie/videos/techno ... 36369.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Made me laugh a lot. (Yes, I have a PS3)

Yeah E3 and the teases/releases have been amusing this year.

I'm likely to go PS4 only next gen, after owning them all before. Microsoft have really dropped the ball...

One thing I have spotted in the Digital Spy coverage, but which hasn't yet been picked up elsewhere I think, is that for PS4 online play you will need to have a PL Plus account. Which I assume means you will have to pay for, like you do now with the Xbox. Not keen on that, but at least it's better than what MS are proposing.

Yep PS+ for online play. if you're only playing offline only it's free.
I kinda thought it'd be hard to keep giving it away for free, so not really surprised.

Note HDD is removable, so if they do different SDKs (only announced 500GB at the moment), buy the smallest and bung in a 1TB drive. Xbox One is confirmed 500GB non-upgradable.

Yeah, a friend swapped his 60GB for a 500GB one. He uses Play TV and wanted the capacity for recording tv programmes. He isn't technically minded but managed it more or less glitch-free. I recently bought a 12GB for the family (Lovefilm, kids games) and might do the swap eventually myself.

I am not a Sony fan and will be getting the new Xbox even thought it's £70 more expensive.

both my sons have xbox360 and there membership has just run out and i have said no at the moment as money tight, one of them we bought the 4gb versions as his older white version one had a 60gb inside the covering that sat on top of his older white xbox, so i just unscrewed the casing it was in ( as its only a caddy really) and took out the drive , then slotted it into the black 4gb xbox360 so he had another 60gb.. ive noticed the gamestation shops etc have the old casing (sat on top of old xbox) hard drives for silly money about a tenner+ so if you got a 4gb version then just get one of these and with the aid of a screwdriver to get the hard drive out your quids in for more drive space :)

I preordered a PS4 and Watch Dogs to start with. Can't wait.

It doesn't look good for Microsoft this gen.
