Hey Muppets,
Hello from East Sheen. I am a young maxi owner.
I just managed to buy an X10 last Friday. I am so exited to pick it up. I also bought the Akrapovic exhaust, top box and the pair of heated grips with it.
Down side... It is still going to sit in the shop in the next few weeks for the following reasons:
- I have no driving license yet, i just passed Mod 1 last Wednesday and I will do Mod 2 on the 28th
- I haven't decided the colour yet... lol... I can't choose between the blue and the black, but I still have a good few days
It was a very quick purchase. I was looking for maxis in the past 2 months. I ran a few rounds around Burgi - T Max- X Max and finally I walked in BMG in East Sheen. First I only liked the price tag (I am on budget...my personal trainer study made me bankrupt), but after my second visit in the shop I started to feel the vibe. So asked about finance and I got a YES answer in 30 minutes time! So no time to think, I straight put down the deposit. So fingers cross for the Mod 2.
I would like to get some advice on insurance. I had insurance with Lexham in the past year and I called them for a quote. They said £1500/year!
After I did some quote on the web and i found MCE quote for £300... Anyone has any experience with MCE?

Hi Solo and welcome. I had the X10 350 but sold it 10 days ago as I have imported the 500 version from France. I had the Bianco Perla and stayed with the same colour. Good luck on the 28th and I am certain you will love the X10. Have'nt been able to ride the 500 yet still waiting for the registration. Will post pics when its on the road.

Welcome and congrats on your purchase, good luck for Mod 2.
I am with MCE for one of my bikes, they were good value but as I've (thankfully) not had need yet to "use" them I don't know if there's anything to worry about. They're a relatively big company and seem quite popular so I don't think there's too much danger and the saving seems well worth any possible risk.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all for the welcoming
Also thanks for the feedback on MCE, I think I am going to take the "risk" and get the insurance with them.

If you haven't already give eBike a try too, I've had good quotes from them before.SoloSzabi wrote:Hi guys,
