I bought Twist & Go mag!

Yes, I actually bought a copy of T&G for the first time in years!! I bought it on the strength of the Burger 650 and Xmax 400 reviews, but then found that they were the same articles that I'd already in MCM!! Doh!

Anyway, the mag is rather better than it was. Its now decided that its main focus is new riders so covers anything (incl bikes) from 50cc to those eligible for A2 licence (48bhp) holders plus maxis of all sizes. The articles are pretty well written and advice is mostly sensible, though the stories are still rather on the short side and could do with having a bit more depth (IMHO).

I quite like the T&G and now even better with their new format. I subscribed for a further 2 years recently for £36.
I sent Mo (the editor) an email about the Yamaha XMax 400 review where they compared it to the Burgman 400 as an alternative. They had all the latest specs wrong quoting the old 385cc version as is also shown at the rear of the mag. He replied stating that that article was rushed and had little time to scrutinise. Bless them.....

I see that not everything has changed then!

I stopped buying it as at the time it only concentrated on chav scooters, but i will have a look at the next copy to see how it's changed.

Yes...the early ones were great. Then quality dropped off alarmingly. For a time they decided that 16 year olds were their only market of interest, whilst they now seem to target learners to A2 licence holders. So they do cover small & medium bikes as well as scooters....but since on this forum we've spent hours discussing the Honda N700X, that may not be too bad a thing! The editorial quality isn't up to the standard of the early ones, but appears better than it was.
