Hi folks, I have just joined the forum to find out more about Maxi Scooters and activities.
I live in Leeds, am an old biker (Triumph Tiger 800) and very interested in moving from "bike" to Maxi Scooter.
I see reference to Northern Riders and wonder if it is a club with regular meetings, ride-outs etc and if so where they meet. Can someone please give more info on Northern Riders with details, links etc to find out more.
I will read the forum notes and comments with interest.
Thanks and ride safe.
drummer.

Re: Introduction by new member
Hi The Northern Riders is a loose group of riders who get together most weekends for a ride out or a simple meet up. Tomorrow we are off to the Vale of Belvoir. Last weekend we were up around North Yorkshire. The Weekend before that we were local to me in Wakefield and had a ride out to Cannon Hall.
All that we need is your mobile number so I can text you with the details of the plans. You don't have to do anything, but if you say you are coming then come or let us know so we aren't waiting for you. Dead simple and you decide what you want to join in on. We have had over 15 turn up and on other occasions just a couple of us.
If you send me a private message with your number I will add you to the list.
By the way we don't care if you ride a Maxi or a Bike.

Hi Drummer and welcome
I have just gone from motorbikes to Scoots and have just moved up from a Burgman 400 to Silverwing 600. They are great fun and with a great bunch of people for ride outs. Although, I still ride a BMW 1200 RT for the local "Whiteknight " blood bike charity.......How to play at being a pretend police rider for a long weekend
