New to forums!

Post by Mick57 »

Good evening all.
First ever forum. New to scootering. On Thursday I got myself a suzuki burgman uh200 k8 with 12000 on the clock (2008). Had to go from 2 cars to one for the normal reasons. Just a quick question, the speedo on the burgman is very, shall we say fast. Done a satnav check and 60 mph on the clock is approx 40mph on the satnav ( iPhone) anybody else had this problem ? Any help would be appreciated.

The Burgman speedos are well known for being optimistic but yours is taking the piss! About 10% over is the norm.
Paddle harder. I can hear banjo music!

Might need to clean the speedo out on the front... or worst case you'll need a new one.

just been to wales in the car this weekend for a wedding, the sat nav always seems to be about 3 to 5mph difference to car actual UNDER

you usually find the normal for a scoot is around 8% over the actual mph, but if you got them speed checks signs around were you live, which indicate your speed, i find them pretty acurate on indicated speed, and welcome Mick.... another mick :D :D :D :D
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

Hi Mick welcome!
Stupid question, but you haven't by any chance got a kilometer speedo on there have you?
60 kph is not far off 40 mph.
