not sure, they are a dominant make in poland, and this maxi scooter was designed and released in 2012 with a 125cc version as well, not much info on the above website . history of company here http://romet.pl/en/History,14.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
it more info here http://romet.pl/en/Moto,ROMET_MAXI_250_ ... 13708.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
for someone whom wants New in a budget, and will keep a long time, could make sense :D

sensible if you can do your own service, located in Bourne Lincolnshire, spares would not be a problem also

I think Romet were the biggest supplier of mopeds and small bikes in Poland for a long time and pretty much cornered the domestic market.

They have changed since the iron curtain came down and now source parts from China, including frames, and assemble them in there own factories.
I don't know what the quality is like. Polish weather has greater extremes of hot and cold but I don't think they coat everything in salt like we do.

The website doesn't look very professional! Facts & figures are mostly nonsense.

It says that the power output is '17KM' - presume they mean KW - a respectable 23bhp approx, but the top speed is apparently only 110kmh or 68mph

i agree with above, yet we are trying to focus on the scoot, and whether its a viable tool, value for money etc, the less fortunate , money wise among st us will either shed out 1800 for a 6 year old scoot or could buy new with know how and knowledge of servicing etc to do themselves. specs are on dealer website http://romet.pl/en/Moto,ROMET_MAXI_250_ ... 13708.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

but the uk guy needs to be more professional regarding his site if he has to be shown as competent, and a long term supplier, if he is to be successful :D

Do they have any UK dealers? I think that the crucial question.....without a decent dealer, I'd run a mile!

going to send them a message regarding aspects of servicing and back up :D
