Hello all.
I have been riding for just under a year. Got a piaggio x8 with a few problems but more on that later! Have tried a few different bikes but always end up back on my x8!
I'm from Oxfordshire and feel free to call me Dave.

Thanks for the welcome guys!
Problem started the other day when started spluttering. Had a look and the air filter was filthy. Replaced it all and cleaned carb. Went to go fire her up and for some reason the electric starter done nothing. Tried the stupid stuff I have fell for before (Kill Switch!) then had a little listen. When its pressed I get no turn from the starter motor just a loudish click from the rear right side of the bike. Have tried with a different bikes battery to rule out that but still no luck.
Any suggestions would be grateful as I am not really great on the electrical side of things!
Thanks

the click could be the relay, i would check that the live cable to the starter has not come loose, they generally have two lock nuts on it, on the side of the starter first

Hello and welcome. I'm still fairly new to the site as well but so far they all seem to be a nice bunch of Muppets
