Necco Abruzzi starting problems

Post by PeteWales67 »

Hi I am new to this forum and hoping for a bit of help I don't really want the flack that some people give out for owning one of these bikes. It felt right I wanted a four stroke and the price was right . Anyway the problem is I was travelling along and it started to splutter. I got it home and thought it might be shit in the carb pulled the carb out and filter put it all back but still not turning over checked plug and lead all on okay. Bit lost. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Will it turn over on the starter? If not try checking the battery terminals and starter connections for tightness.

i cant remember if ginger phil has one :?:
but you could post the question on http://chinesescoots.forumwise.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

check the cdi connections, check you got a spark when turning over and the carb breather pipe is not connected and hanging, some folk think it needs attaching, its only a 2 inch pipe which should just hang there :D
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

also poor battery condition will cause a non starter, enough juise for circuits but not enough amps to turn over, if you press the starter and any bulbs etc go dim, its your battery dead, need a good recharge then try again, post reply :D
