I've had a right puncture on my Honda s-wing, too mashed to be repaired so I'm buying a new one.
I don't know much about tyres so would like some opinions please.
The choices are:
Avon Viper Stryke for £41
Pirelli sl26 for £44
Bridgestone hoop for £55 (fitted to the scooter from new)

All prices are fitted inc vat

Cheers muppets

My vote would be Michelin City Grip

Yes the city grip is great but if you are feeling you need something a bit more sporty the Michelin pure 2ct radial dual compound is great . If you are an all year rider in all weathers the metzeler wintec feel free is supposed to be great .

Have a look at the My tyres site they publish reviews from German test sites.

The Metzeler's do well, I put them on my Kawasaki and was very impressed, certainly much better then the OEM Dunlops.

I'm not riding through winter again, body awful! So I'm going to be riding Feb/March to Oct/Nov.

How much roughly are the city grips fitted?

Had a look at that site spaceprobe and glad I did, the garage recommended the Avon for its excellent wet handling, that site has it down as shocking wet handling! It looks like the Bridgestone halo is the best that they have a test on although they haven't got a test for the city grip!

Well, I never got over the disaster area that the Avons were on an earlier Tmax, so I'd be wary of them! I'm not a Pirelli fan either, but the B.stone Hoops are a good grippy tyre. Not cheap though, as you've found out......

Father in law had the Avon on his bike and changed it after 1500 miles, he said it was really bad in the wet.
