Playing with rear shocks

Had a bit of a fiddle with the rear shocks on the Max today. When I got it they were set to 1, I changed them to 3 which is the default setting and which I felt improved the handling. However I have still been getting too much jaring up my back so today I put the up to 5 which is the highest setting. Went on a 200 mile run to see my brother and what a difference, much smoother on good roads and when you hit a rough patch, still some bounce but no shock waves up your back. So worth playing about with your shock setting you may be surprised.

Yeah...makes a hell of a difference on most bikes. My Burgman, like most bikes, can be set up for armchair comfort or back road twisty faster work. I've got mine set up for somewhere in between at the moment. It has 7 different settings. I'll be taking a 15 stone passenger today to the Clacton air show so will bump it up a notch. Glad you are finding the Maxsym a good bike. I have a raod test on it somewhere if you are interested spaceprobe. I'll see if I can dig it out for you.

Very pleased with it gets better every day. Brighton to Stanstead Abbots yesterday in all that terrible weather on the M25 and it handled like a dream. yes the road test would be interesting to read.
