Just changed my original rear tyre after 8866 miles, and it was on the limit of legal. Okay, so 90% of my miles are on motorways which helps, but has anyone out there done more miles on a rear tyre?

I am lucky to see 4k out of my tyres .

i have had the battlaxe th01 on the rear for last two years, i would say half worn except for the edge which is new just over 8000 miles .. i always check pressures every two weeks and run the rear at 36psi as two up 40% of time

Blimey that is well over double i got out of my tyres.

Mine's on original tyres at over 9k miles but last time i checked the rear was like a racing slick! I'm trying to make it last till 10k to change it. Or when the rainy weather kicks in. Whichever's first.

Not sure about the tyre but Pink Floyds Dark Side Of The Moon is a record.
