Hi All!
Followed Funkie Cowie here from the Majesty Forum. if I annoy you, it's HIS fault!
5 days ago it was 85 degrees and Sunny, Santa Ana conditions (when Southern California BURNS...)
Today is 55 degrees and raining; first Winter Rain. Might as well be over on your side of the pond!
Scooter riding here is WEIRD to say the least; either horrific throw-away Chinese Junk or Everything Vespa at CRAZY high prices putting at the Beach or Downtown, OR the RARE maxi-scoot everywhere else...except for the mountains or twisties. That's either insane, death-wish 20-something Sport Bike guys in full leathers knee-sliding up, down, and OFF OF Mount Palomar, or Herds of Blatting Harleys with riders dressed like Fat Pirates, with the occasional one high-siding into the catch fence, as he can't make the corner on his Bar Bike (Pub Pig???).
Here we are with a Mediterranean climate with huge amounts of people riding two miles to the store in a 6,000 pound behemoth SUV, oblivious to the world around them. It's SURREAL...MADE for scooters but they haven't caught on.
By a weird twist of fate I eventually went from renting a scooter in Sicily, to buying an Aprilia Mojito 150, then a Majesty 400, and finally my 2009 Yellow Tmax.
Most fun I've had in years, not counting the ocean or bedroom...
