what you guys think of this bad boy? anyone know anything about them?

Been around a while, dare say in some other countries they make sense and must be quite thrilling.

But given how wide they are, i think I'd prefer an Ariel Atom, IIRC they ain't cheap.

Here in California, it's one of only TWO states out of 50 where you DON"T need a motorcycle endorsement or any training whatsoever to ride/pilot those things, so they sell fairly well. Since they have 3 wheels they are essentially a CAR...and so is the Piaggio MP3. THAT sells here also with the Salesperson (and I have HEARD them) saying "No special license or training needed! Just get on and go!" (and DIE???)

Morning Sku, When I first qualified as a nurse in the late 70's I had to opportunity to go work in the US. I am glad I never did, not sure I could have coped with all that trauma that goes with your liberal gun and knife laws, odd biker licence requirements. no helmets in some states or helmets that would never be approved in Europe. The Emergency room must be like a war zone in the US with so many young lives wasted. In 37 years of nursing I have never seen or had to look after anybody with a bullet wound although I do remember terrible head injuries before we tightened up our helmet laws.

I think they're just right for the US market.

Don't hold back

I think being so wide to eliminate filtering opportunities and not being able to lean (eliminates balance problems) they are safer than the mp3 lt which can also be ridden on a car licence.

And certainly better than all the dick heads on quad bikes on the roads in the summer

I've seen one of the yellow ones a couple of times near Ferndown. The owner was wearing a bandana. A "biker" fantasist?

Now thats an interesting statement, with which I instinctively disagree, though lack any evidence either way!

think the cheapest is about 17 grand ..... if im gonna get stuck in traffic id rather take my test and drive a car keep dry n warm ..
