Hi there...
Due to financial difficulties I am having to get rid of my TMAX its a 2011 with 14000 miles in silver with topbox and heated grips otherwise standard...
Never been dropped some light scratches due to use and mirror edges have been grazed pulling it up and down the side of my house otherwise in decent nick, had two newtyres within a couple of thousand miles and it had the mega service about six months ago...
So whats it worth? I could surrender it to the finance company and just walk away £3900 left to settle but theyve said theyll take the bike as full settlement..

Re: Tmax 2011 Value
just a thought mate you may have trouble selling it privately with outstanding finance on it as technically its not yours to sell ..and it will show up on any hpi check ..
you may be best biting the bullet and handing it back to settle the debt

Re: Tmax 2011 Value
Nothing wrong with selling privately as long as you settle the finance, the best thing is to do the deal and then let the new buyer pay over the phone creates a slight delay compared to a straight cash transaction but i wouldn't really be expecting somebody to turn up with 4 grand in cash anyway ....
The garage that serviced it are potentially interested as they supplied it new and there might be a couple of hundred back...
Just gauging opinions really but thanks anyway....

Re: Tmax 2011 Value
Selling it is no problem even on finance as it is yours and nothing to do with the loan for the bike and doesn't show up on any checks as the loan and bike arent related, only time it is a problem is if its hire purchase where the bikes not yours until the loans paid off, so if you can get more thn the £3900 and have some left over sell it

Re: Tmax 2011 Value
You are wrong. If the bike is on finance it belongs to the finance company until fully paid. It is a personal loan that has no connection to the bike.Hanzo1974 wrote:Selling it is no problem even on finance as it is yours and nothing to do with the loan for the bike and doesn't show up on any checks as the loan and bike arent related, only time it is a problem is if its hire purchase where the bikes not yours until the loans paid off, so if you can get more thn the £3900 and have some left over sell it
Isn't it nice when things just work?

Thats not what the finance company told me when i called up and asked about selling my bike they said the loan and bike werent tied so i could do what i wanted with the bike only if it was a hire purchase loan then its tied in. Anyway i hope it works out for you mate and you at least make some money out of it
