Opened Scooter-station site today, and this ad for the Kymco Myroad 700 popped up...

Only €7000!!! Thats about £6000! That'll give the MaxSym 600 some competition. Not keen on the humungous 281kg weight though...

This is getting interesting now. First Maxisym 600 hopefully available in late spring. Now this Kymco,i must look into this. My Silverwing I've had for three years, has done 35,000mls, and by spring i think i'll be up to 40,000mls. I'll be looking for a new machine, although i dearly love the Silverwing, i will look around before going straight for a new one.

I don't expect the MyRoad will be coming to the UK though - and the fact that they are selling them for a bargain price in Europe suggests that they haven't sold a huge number over there.

When I contacted Kymco in the summer this year, they told me the 700i would not be coming to the Uk. I wonder if they may have a change of heart!

It starting to look like the manufacturers may feel that the UK is going to catch up with the rest of europe when it comes to maxi scooters, good for us if that is so.

it could be WORSE...you could be US...with almost NOTHING to choose from, i.e.:
No SRV 850
No Gilera 800
No X-10 of ANY sort
No Tmax 530
No MaxSym 400i or 600i
No Kymco Xciting 400i
No new style Majesty 400
We DO get:
Warmed-over, old-technology Majesty 400 they don't sell anywhere else...
Slightly updated Burgman 400 and Silverwing 600, both ancient designs...
Venerable Burgman 650 with some actual styling and riding improvements!!
New BMW Scoots (but look out for the quality control, ride ability and long-term reliability issues....but they ARE selling a shitload here, not so much in Europe...)
Currently working on importing the 530 from Canada...
