SH300 dropped?

Post by gn2 »

Was having a nosey at Honda's website and noticed that the much loved SH 300 is no longer listed.
Is there an updated version in the pipeline like the new 125, or has it just been discontinued?

How curious! It ain't there, is it! And there was an updated model released fairly recently. Its not as though they didn't sell either.
It maybe a technical cockup, or perhaps they feel there isn't enough market for both the SH30 and the very similarly engined Forza 300. After all, the Forza does almost everything the SH did only with more comfort and luggage space.

Now I think of it, that's probably why I couldn't see a SH300 on the Honda stand at Motorcycle Live the other month.
Paddle harder. I can hear banjo music!

Interesting. As I said, they did seem to sell quite a few even in the UK, let alone by the 000 in Italy. Perhaps there's less profit in an SH than a Thai-made Forza.

Maybe SH production could be relocated enabling the SH300 to be sold at a more realistic price?

I seem to remember someone on here saying the sh300 was the best selling scoot over 125 in italy, so popular on the continent, yet here in the uk the scoopy styling has never really took off.
