Given a silverwing!

After 35 years motorcycling, (with big wheels! :D )I was given 2 faulty FJS 600 silverwings which my mate had been using for dispatch work. I Have since cobbled together 1 working bike and have now got a whole stack of bits left over! Have to admit to actually enjoying riding the thing!
Anyone looking for FJS 600 bits (2001 / 2002 high mileage and a bit scruffy generally but all there!) Please give my son a bell on 07903 433339 Located in Lancashire, can post small bits but the heavy stuff would be better collected. CHEAP!

"Fiddle" is the correct term! So many cross head screws! So much plastic! I'd love to meet the guy who designed the left hand plastic infill panel below the steering head, ( a random moulding with NO obvious purpose in life other than to get in the way and rattle!) I'd bet he'd be fun on a night out!!!!!!!

BTW just did my first long motorway trip on it today. Conclusion Silverwing + sidewinds = much terror!............ and the fuel consumption......

Wiz, how many miles on the Silverwing?
Honda have gradually improved the 2001 model, early road tests were a bit disappointing to read, poor handling and high fuel consumption (it used more fuel than a Pan-European at speed). After 2007, A7's were reported as sorted.
I wonder how safe your 2001/2002 is now, the springs, dampers, bearings probably all have wear, so take it easy.

Except Bob's which probably did more mpg than my C90 and had more dead flies on the rear light than the front one.
