Get lost!

Post by Bluebottle »

I can recommend it.

Had to go out on an errand in the hills above Bolton/Chorley. Thought I knew where I was going but got totally lost and wound up on single track roads trying to cut across country.
The bits without farm crap all over the road were excellent, really blew the cobwebs away.
I was about to give in and get my phone out for the GPS when I realised I was near Darwen.

It seemed rude not to drop into Race Leathers and have a look at there sale - not often you see Halverssons gear reduced, very tempting.......and the Rocket Centre isn't far away, almost on the way home really.

Anyway, had some nice chats with various scooter folk, nice bloke with a white new-shape Sigfiddy, a B 400 and an SRV 850. I fell in love with some Alpinestars 365 gloves I didn't have the cash for and by the time I got home it was dark.

The down side is that a quick lunch-time whiz took me most of the day and I'll have to work all night to catch up.
On the plus side, Mrs B says she will stump up for the 365's seeing as I didn't get any pocket money at Christmas - result!

If you get lost in certain areas round here, your chances of returning alive are alarmingly small..........

I used to purposely do this on solitary ride outs. Head out to somewhere I didnt know and take 2 rights and left etc and just see where I ended up. Came out of Brands Hatch and ended up at Rye Harbour some time later. Found some nice villages in Suffolk etc.

Picked the gloves up today VERRRY nice. Much wetter today and quickly got into the clouds on the moors approaching Blackburn.

Sorry, yes - 650 Burger
We were chatting about how the parking brake is in a wierd place - right under your arse/thigh and agreed they are better up the front where you can get to them quickly/easily

Are we talking about the new model? It used to be in the wrong place on the old model if I remember - on the RHS and set very low. Nothing like as convenient as the TMax's..
