New helmet cam - so now what?

Hi
When I write up my rides I get moans because of a lack of pictures which is fair enough. The Mrs - bless her - got me a helmet cam for Christmas. Its a Drift and, so far, looking at the quality on the PC it looks good. Got a remote on the handlebars so now got no excuses for not sharing. But I will need advice on the best way of editing the things and the best way of displaying them to the World.
So Guys - Best soft ware without spending loads if anything.
Best method of publishing the results.
Ay Thank you.

Lightworks (google it) is a full featured free professional editing tool, or you could just use MS Windows Movie Maker 6 from the below linky which is free and legal and is the most flexible release as you can get loads of custom tools
http://movies.blainesville.com/2010/05/ ... 60-on.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
There are others though
As for publishing, youtube, which also has some editing online functions but they are not very good.

Hi Gerard
I downloaded " dropbox" a while ago, which is similar to cloud etc.... however, when I connect my contour roam2 or the other vids items I have it automatically goes into the video file which can then be edited or can be easily navigated too when uploading to youtube......
PS when are we getting a ride out sorted.... lol

I've been using the helmet cam now quite a bit. I am impressed with the quality as seen on the PC but haven't gone for a editing program as yet. In PC world the're around £50 - £70 and I am not paying that! Looked on line and got the listing of the top 10 free programmes. Then I read the comments. Apparently they download full of nasty Malware, virus's and other dirty little critters - which put me right off. You used to be able to go into PC world or Staples and there would be a rack of cheap soft ware but its all gone now. I am off to the next Computer Fair to see what's on offer there.

Just try Windows Movie Maker 6 you'll get along fine with it, believe me, no dodgy malware, and its more flexible than other iterations with load of fan made transitions, etc.

My advice is use spilt tool to cut it into chunks good bits bad bits then delete chunks you don't want then add captions if you want to comment at any point plus opening and closing credits .You can add music or voice over music tho is nightmare with copywright blocking .

Gerard, I used Serif MoviePlus for quite a while and it's good and easy to use. You can often find slightly older versions going quite chaeap (and they'll do the job for you just as well).
The current version is 'X6'.
I've moved to Cyberlink PowerDirector 12 simply because MoviePlus doesn't support Dolby Digital Surround sound which I want for my video camera footage but which we don't need currently for Drift or GoPro footage.
