Good afternoon chap and chapesses
As you can tell I am very new to this forum and thought i'd introduce myself. I'm Mike.
Been driving cars all my life (so fed up filling her up all the time it costs a large fortune). Ive had a Xevo 125 for 6 months or so now and love it so much cant believe how much cheaper it is.
Just got a new job which is 35 miles away from home! Should I commute on my Xevo 125 for the 4 days that I work? I dont know what to do!!!
Cheers
Mike

Re: Hi there
Welocme
70 miles round trip isn't that far but depends on the type of roads, may start taking its toll on the service side of things...
Maybe worth upping to a 250 if your licence allows, more oomph for the A roads and any Dual Carriage ways - and may be a little more miles between oil changes etc...

Re: Hi there
welcome, just be careful and weigh up the costs etc .. give yourself plenty of time for the commute until you get to know the timings... wrap up warm... leggings .. balaclava.. under gloves and comfy boots,, i bought some Tuzo boots at £29 6 months ago and cant fault them on scoot, think they are not many left now though at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tuzo-Waterpro ... 3f151fa944" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and as always be careful if filtering

I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

Re: Hi there
Thanks guys
Half the journey will be on B roads and other half on dual carriageway.
How often should I get bike serviced?
I can only ride 125 scooter on my lucence, passed test too late!!
Who does the best bresk down cover for bikes?
Cheers

Re: Hi there
Hello and welcome ,all good advice regarding commuting also keep a regular check on tyre pressures its surprising how much of a difference this can make this time of the year . With regards to break down cover we use gemini for all our vehicles and that covers anything you are traveling in or on car bike van . Most insurances offer bike breakdown or say its included but in reality they charge around the £58 notes for it ,gemini covered the lot for £69 no brainer for us as most insurance companies are vehicle specific when all done together or combined saved £100 all in and got greater cover .
