Can anyone who has performed the dual-headlight mod on their scoot tell me if this would cause the bike to fail an MOT? The Burgman is going in this week and I'd rather not unhook it if I don't have to. I know theoretically the angle of the beam on the second lamp may be an issue but on some bikes I've read that it can still be within passable limits. Grateful for any real-world experiences. Cheers.

Re: Dual headlight mod, MOT fail?
it will depend on how high the altered sides, beam is.. and which mot centre you use.. my mot bloke is in the sticks and is very helpful and relaxed.. take it to a dealer type place and they always seem more pickyTurisu wrote:Hi all,

Mine has passed at least four with both headlights operating.
I wake up every morning with a smile upon my face,

Re: Dual headlight mod, MOT fail?
what is this all about. My o6 majesty runs twin headligts with high low filiments so both lights are running all the time .
another muppet here in our town has a 2008 face lift model dual headlight but it has only one light and when he goes on high beam both lights work.Have noticed it on a lot of newer twin light sports bikes recently There is no comparison that mine is brighter and more visible during the day when it is important to be seen.doesnt seem to make logic for day riding .As it is i always run on full beam. Maybe some smart arse has put left and right lenses on for night running ?

My GTS passed with a blown bulb and no horn switch lol, I got a verbal advisory.
