It would appear that it has finally arrived in the UK. £400 more than the standard version at £9099

Not when you consider parts cost for a typical spill... much less broken bones and damaged limbs.
For their part, I guess Yamaha are now worried about product liability issues for not having it available in the UK when they will need it for homologation purposes anyway in a few months, and it's been available in other countries for years.

There again, wasn't the Non-ABS model priced at £8800 when it was launched? If I'm right then at least the price on the non-abs model has gone down a couple of hundred quid, which makes the extra £400 of the ABS model slightly easier to bear....

The problem now is that I want one.
A white one.

I didn't mean the £400 for the ABS, it was a comment on the absurdly high price of a Tmax.

I'm not really sure if it is absurdly high. It has a die cast aluminium frame, lots of fairings and so on. If you were to compare the components to a similarly built motorcycle, then there isn't really a huge amount of difference. You really need to ride one in anger, to know just how good these are.

And since so many dealers are sitting on quite a few unsold mark 3 units, let alone mark 4 I can understand their reluctance to stock the new ABS model. Even a price cull of old stock isn't enticing punters

Didn't realise this. At £6.5k these are quite a bargain...

And when some go straight for the brute power and go to an SRV 850 from their Tmax MK3, vs. a MK4....
