Honda NC750X DCT or Forza 300

Just a little straw poll
Would any of you scooter boys entertain moving into the above, which is currently available on a 0% PCP deal from Honda
The idea of a 'proper' motorbike which is as easy to ride as a scoot is quite tempting

Most certainly, if I had the funds.
I test rode and liked the NC700 (non-DCT) when they came out and thought it very useful, though completely misunderstood by many journos and bikers. The 750 seems to just add that little extra with no downside to cost or mpg, so a very interesting ride, plus they've developed the DCT software more too.
If I ever had a spare five grand I'd have one tomorrow.

The figures look very good - I know £6899 sounds a lot, but compared to the cost of a brand new TMax etc etc, it seems a relative bargain

I had an NC700X DCT for a day when my last scooter was in for a service.
I just didn't like it at all, very coarse agricultural feel to the engine and transmission.
Would need to test the new version to assess any improvements made, but I can't see me ever wanting one.
A modern version of the CX650 would be much more appealing to me.

How are you getting on with the Forza? Honda are currently doing that on very low rate finance

Getting on very well ta.
Super comfy and does the job I bought it for very well indeed.
4,000 odd miles averaging 78mpg since mid September.

Bear in mind that others (like me) had no issue with original feel of the 700 engine, PLUS they have added a balancer shaft to the 750 so even those will have now gone.
As always you'd just need to test ride before committing yourself.

The NC engine has always had a balancer.

For the 750 engine they have seen the error of their ways and gone with a biaxial balancer instead.

For once I'm almost in agreement with Meldrew, except that it does have space to store a helmet, but as Honda do some additional wind deflectors and hand guards, they'd have to go on the shopping list as well! Even then, I doubt if the weather protection is that great.
btw Does it have a centrestand or is that another option??

Which is the real reason anyone on the Muppets would buy one, it's the DCT transmission not all that bisexual balancer system bollocks.
It is the DCT which draws me to it, but I'm not at all technical, so the idea of the chain drive and constant lubing is putting me off a bit
Having said that, I'm a fair weather softie, so it wouldn't get exposed to a great deal of crap, unless I get caught out in it
