Hello Everyone!
Just wanted to give a brief intro to the forum.
My older brother is "skutorr", a regular, if not deranged contributor.
I currently ride a tricked out 2009 TMax 500, as does my brother.
Where his is the "watch out, I'm a bumblebee!" yellow, mine is the boring blue which has been repainted to a flat graphite highlighted in red. My Stainless Steel Yoshi exhaust completes an awesome look.....
He has written extensively about all our mods and upgrades, so I will spare you a repeat. Skutorr is the mechanic in our family, and I doubt if I would have even attempted any of the mods without his knowledge, tools, or skill.
I have had my share of scooters the last 6 years. In order, often times owning more than one at a time:

2009 Aprilia Sport City 250 (Great, nimble bike - best brakes on any scooter I've owned.)
2007 Yamaha Majesty 400 - the girly, purple color (A big step up for freeway driving, but didn't handle as well and I couldn't get past the color.)
2009 Suzuki Burgman AN650 (Massive, stable ride - easily capable of triple digits without being aware of it. Great for touring, but found it wasn't suiting my riding style. Would easily own one again if I needed to commute more than 25 miles a day.)
2008 SYM RV250 (Great little scoot, but didn't handle especially well and a bit wanting for power. Totaled it. Laid it down, sliding into a car as I ran a red light resulting in 3 splintered ribs and collarbone..... Duh.....)
2008 SYM Citicom 300 (Amazing ride. Quick, responsive, handled great after I put Pirelli Diablo radials on it. Over 6o mpg US. Not one bad thing to say about it. Only reason I sold it was a Yamaha TMax 500.)
2009 Honda Silverwing FSC600 (Nice, comfortable scoot. Great fit and finish. It's a Honda. Fit me (5' 6") much better than the Burgman. Pristine condition, but needed a number of mods to make it bearable on the road, many of which Skutorr has detailed on this forum. Bought it to ride two-up with my wife. She would have none of it....so it's sold.)
2009 Yamaha TMax500 (Blows every other ride I've ever tried out of the water. That includes a Kawasaki Ninja 650 I test rode the other day. Handled great, but a nervous ride, not as smooth or refined as the TMax. Just too busy. Made me feel like I had consumed an entire pot of coffee....) I bought my TMax painted flat graphite - no longer that boring blue. Completely changed my concept of riding. I'm now on an automatic sportbike that can also tour, yet run errands in traffic. Especially in Southern California where lane filtering is LEGAL. Only reason I would consider selling it is a 2012 Yamaha Tmax530, which is currently in transit to San Diego from Ontario, Canada!)

"SKUTORR" was on my first scooter's license plate, the Aprilia Mojito 150. "TORR" is our last name. NOT the English Torr, derived from the French Comte du Torre who came over with old Willie the Conqueror, but was a misspelling of "Torre" from Naples, Italy. DAMN those census takers!

It gets worse...there are THREE of us; the other one has a SYM HD200, Burgman 400 and Burgman 650. Strictly putts around as a grocery-getter. They both strive to emulate their Elder Brother and bask in his reflected glory as their Superior Sibling.
