Swinton insurance.
Do not get involved with this company. I have just been conned by them, and they wanted me to pay £50.70 for somthing THEY had done. GOOGLE Swinton insurance complaints, and you will find 99,200 complaints. Sorry 99,201 complaints when I have added mine.

I have had a bad experience with them with household insurance and would never use them again, to be honest.

I am currently with Swinton and I will definitely not be using them again due to the cynical pricing/cancellation structure employed buy them when I recently changed bikes.

Re: Swinton insurance.
Micheal.I had a Sym scooter that I sold to a friend, who insured it for himself. I contacted Swinton to cancel the poicy as it only had 4 weeks to renewal. Thay said it wiil cost £50 to cancel,so I told them to let it run to the end because I was not going to pay £50. They said because the scooter was now insured by two companies that was illegal. I checked with the police who said it is not illegal. Swinton would not give my new insurer (SAGA)my NCB details so I had to pay Saga £18 extra.Yesterday I recieved a demand for £50 from Swinton, even though I had told them to let the insuance run to the end. I asked them who had cancelled the insurance because I told them not to. They would not tell me.It would seem that if I did not pay them, not only would they not pass on my NCB, they would start recovery action. BE WARNED.

Re: Swinton insurance.
yes, i have swinton with my nexus, with getting a kawasaki j300se abs in a couple of weeks i rang swinton to get a quote, they are around £200 more for the scoot than carol nash and i was told that if i cancel i would get charged £50, going to ring them again nearer the swop date to see if they can match the carol nash price, if they cant i think i will be swallowing the £50 as its better for me to loose that than pay extra £200 bloody insurance companies get on my t=tsj.newton1 wrote:Micheal.I had a Sym scooter that I sold to a friend, who insured it for himself. Just want to point out folks, if you sell a vehicle and you don't cancel the insurance then the vehicle is involved in an accident with the next owner having not or not correctly insured said vehicle you can find yourself in a whole world of financial and legal pain.
