:o Oh no, they just rang to say....

I always worried about those strange men on the tube with here hands in their pockets, a far away stare and big grin. Now I know what they were doing. Have fun on the way home

You lucky so & so... :D

(Whenever I go on the train or bus there is always a 'challenged' person who want to be my friend... Why me? I don't look friendly!)

I look forward to hearing what you think. :) Whenever I see a Satelis I think of you.

That's funny, whenever someone mentions a challenged friend, we all think of you... icon_lol5.gif

Cheeky sods!

OK, so the J300. On balance, as a commuter tool I would say it is not as good as the Satelis. The storage is much worse, the foot position is fixed, the mirrors are small and don't fold. The dash is dull and I'm getting a draft up my leg.

But since there is no Satelis mk2 either at 300 or 400cc, I will say that the J300 is the best I could get as a mid size scooter.

On the plus side, dynamically it is superb. It handles very confidently, is comfortable (even the feet position). I love the way it looks and the extra power is immediately noticeable. The brakes are nicely progressive with good bite. My Caberg Duke fits under the seat just fine and I can get all of my usual stuff in either the glovebox or under the seat.

I will be running the bike in until 13 May so am currently limited to 5000rpm. I guess this means that fuel consumption figures will be meaningless for a while.

All in all, I am really pleased.

Now, does anyone want some J300 handbooks? I have about five. One in German, one French and a few other languages I haven't checked yet. I think they're going on EU eBay.

Thanks for your initial thoughts Stephen.

Some of our scooters come with 4 or 5 manuals in various languages. They all go in the recycling bin. What a waste.
