Forums seem full of horror stories but it is Italian therefore it is meant to be good looking, fast and bloody unreliable. Hope I can escape the last one

i would honestly say ,,,....,,, dont do it
only because your future sanity could be at stake
nothing wrong with the scoot as long as you are mechanically minded... a lot of folk whom owned them weren't so does not help the scoot.
there are lots of scoots out there... SAY... How much you got to spend and the lads will give you positive points on the gooduns
