On a serious note I went from Nottingham to Hartlepool and hardly moved the throttle and an aching wrist lol

Yes what a twat !! .Barry i use one of those scotoil palm pads on the throttle and i must say they do save the wrists and you can just remove it in seconds if you need to .

Speaking to a Dutch guy a few years ago he said things like these were very common over there because so many people have 50cc due to licence/tax/helmet rules and you have to keep the throttle fully open to get anywhere out of town.Ferret wrote:Yes what a twat !! .Barry i use one of those scotoil palm pads on the throttle and i must say they do save the wrists and you can just remove it in seconds if you need to .

I have a plastic gadget that clips on the throttle grip and when your at the speed you require, you push it down with your index finger until it rests on the top of the brake lever. Just close the throttle when you want to slow dow and it's reset for the next time you need it.

I have a rubber O ring on mine, you just roll over the gap were the throttle meets the bar end weight,
it as to be a tight fit on the weight and thick enough so it does not drop right into the gap,
you just roll it up against the twist grip and the friction keeps it from rolling off but you can just
turn the throttle shut if you want to, but only real use for it is if you have a empty motorway
and lots of miles to do.
