OK - the MaxSym again. Now that the excitement of Spaceprobe's purchase has died down a bit, can I ask a question about the beast?
What is the basic design of it? Is it like a traditional scoot with swinging engine, or is it TMax like with a chassis mounted engine? And if the latter, what sort of final drive does it have? belt?

I have visited the local dealer re; the 600maxi. Not in yet but, i could order one. I said I'll wait till you get a demo bike in, and i try it on the road first. OH, no we don't do demo bikes, we only register a bike if you buy it first!!. You want me to buy a £6,000. machine I've never seen. If this is the norm I for one will NOT be buying one.

Spaceprobe's been very quiet too - maybe he's out enjoying the fab weather on his Super-Scoot!

Yeah - bonkers! "SYMUK" is currently toying with the idea of a rolling roadshow:

I would really really appreciate the forums help promote and join in.... if I bring it to fruition then I will need help to male it work! Cheers SYMUK

I think a Rolling Roadshow has got to be a major ingredient to the long-term success of the MAXSYM. Unseen Sales (I'm guessing) are mostly to people who already have a positive SYM brand experience. (See:

£5000 (400i) or £6000 (600i) for a Maxi-scoot you can't even see in the metal... Too good to be true? It will be for many!

Visited a different dealer today. Only got the 400! in . Sat on it not, very impressed it looks and feels "tinny."The leg room is a little shorter than the Silverwing, and the screen feels to be too far away from the rider, and not wide enough to give any weather protection.

Traditional pivoting motor.

The shows keep rolling past, NEC Motorcycle Live, London's MCN show, the BMF show etc. Not a single SYM scooter at a single one of them.
Lots of nice Piaggio X10's there though

Still haven't seen an X10 on the road.
Seen a new Joymax though.

That must be me then! Yeah I've never seen an X10 either. Have spotted a new X Max a couple of times. Must be a 125 as it had L plates on. Nice looking scoot.
