My SH300 has a grumbling bearing. I was hoping it was teh final drive shaft bearing as I could replace that myself. But no its the bloody driveshaft bearing and I dont have anything like the pullers required, so it looks like i'll have to get it booked in somewhere. As I normally do my won spannering I dont have a clue who to use, so can anyone recommend me a mechanic who would have the pullers and press required. They would need to be in the sarf essex or east/central ish London areas.
Thanks
Recommend me a mechanic who can replace driveshaft bearings?

Speak to Lawrence at Scootech in Bow. Great mechanic and won't rip you off.

I've got a hydraulic press in work that you are welcome to use. I'm in Forest Gate, E7. What pullers are needed?
Paddle harder. I can hear banjo music!

Scootech in Bow maybe your best bet as they should be able to do it blindfolded, as prob done lots of times, and they will have the kit, so time to strip and do the job should only be a few hrs, if you ring them they should be able to give you the time for job, which then gives you an idea of cost

Shouldn't be any harder to change than a wheel bearing?
Knock the old one out, gently tap the new one in, easy peasy.

Couldn't get the shaft out of the casing and dont have the tools or anything like it as shown in the manual. Never heard back from Scootech anyway so it looks like i might have to get a bit creative. WIll try my local bike shop though as they do scoots now and the mechanic they have rides a SH300 too.
