Hi All, I'm driving from Doncaster to Wheathill near Bridgnorth on Saturday. I'll be towing a caravan. I've tried to work out a map on tinternet but every time the route takes me onto the M6 toll road. Does anyone with local knowledge know how to avoid this. I did a similar trip a couple years ago and ended up on the toll road, all the signage points you that way and it really pissed me off, as I am a tight Yorkshireman I want to retain my wealth! Also towing the 'van it's difficult to turnaround easily if I drop a bollock. I do have a satnag but I would like summat on paper just in case....

Set your sat nav or google maps to avoid tolls in settings

M1 A38 A5 then M54 to Telford then Bridgenorth last bit to Wheathill is B road but should be OK not been on it for a while good biking road .Avoid Wolverhampton dont be tempted to cut corner .Use Bridgenorth bypass will be sign posted Shrewsbury dont go into town road is lot steeper
