My wife and i have met and chewed the cud with simon on many occasions . He was a nice young lad and a great ambassador for motorcycle racing and will be sorely missed .Our heart felt wishes go out to his family and all who were close to him .R.I.P

Sad News, remember the TT Legends Endurance Racing Documentary a year or so ago, Simon returning from injury then to work in the team...
Came across as a real nice bloke...

'should not be sad' WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i really enjoy watching road racing, racers take risks, but not to be sad when a young nice talented man dies and leaves a devostated family behind. ??? 'game of death'!!!!!!!!! WTF. sometimes you really talk shite.

I get where gn2 is coming from in that statement, very few people get to spend the last moments of their life doing what they get the most kick out of.
gn2 please correct me if I am wrong but I think he is not saying you should be happy about this guys passing or indifferent, but you should acknowledge that Simon died doing what he loves and that this does not have to be shown with sadness.

Im not picking holes out of gn2's statment, but I enjoy road racing, im sad for his family, im sad for the early end to his life, im sad we'll Never see him race again! He was a very talented rider. Thats how I see it.
Racers/riders do get killed more so in road racing granted, but when there is a fatality the result is immensely sad for the rider and for the family who will grieve for years afterwards, and change their lives forever. Its not a "game of death".
