Three people who are obviously not the brightest cookies in the world...
Opinions welcome. What's interesting to me is that the motorcyclist disclaims liability due to the fact that cyclist is on the phone. So despite seeing that the cyclist is on the phone, he performs a fuckwit manoeuvre? Really? No insight whatsover. Must be the Ducati effect: I ride a Ducati so I must be right all of the time. Transactional analysis parent mode perchance?

Seems a strange place to put a cycle lane in centre of the road .

Without doubt assault caused by spur of the moment 'red mist'.

The video above was not posted by the Motorcyclist. He's desperately trying to get it removed on copyright grounds but it keeps reappearing. There's a big can of worms surrounding this. Suffice to say most people who see it are incensed. One 'commentator' had even tracked down the Motorcycle riders' online presence, eBay account, LinkedIn profile and even has a copy of his CV.
If you watch this on the YouTube pop out window you'll see all the comments.

Anyone using a helmet cam must remember that it will record your own misdemeanours and mistakes as well.
If you then share them with the whole world.....

Starting at the start, the bike approaches a line of traffic at a high closing speed (too fast for conditions?), the rearmost vehicle is a blue VW van, the cyclist is clearly visible ahead in the cycle lane to the right long before the bike starts passing the line of traffic.
The bike could have tucked in behind the VW van and followed it through the lights.
Watch when the helmet cam turns round to view the cyclist on the deck and see the VW van drive through the lights....
So approaching the traffic there were two choices, slow down a bit and follow the line of motor vehicles or race up behind a cyclist turning right and hope for a gap to appear.
The wrong choice was made at this point, which was before he made the wrong choice not to tuck into the gap behind the taxi.
Bike rider has much to learn.
