So I am thinking of organising this ride out, it might involve getting lost and find our way again but for me going out for a ride and that happening is part of the fun. It should involve lots of nice little villages and riding through the great british countryside. The ride is 6 hours long and covers 184 miles as planned.

There are three stops along the way. The first an second are break stops which I am planning for snack and toilet breaks so am thinking they will only be 15-20 minutes. The 2nd being a lunch break that has fuel and a Mc D's so I am thinking this will be 30-45 minutes.

The ride will start around 10:30 so aim to be there earlier.

This is the route Google Map Start and Finish at the Mc'Ds off of junction 7 on the M11... there is no fuel directly available however when we set out we will pull over for fuel 400 yards down the road at a Shell Petrol station just down the A414

Now the J300 is run in, I'd hope to join in.

That distance will mean that even if everyone has a full tank at the start that most will need to refill before the end. So better ensure there are fuel stops planned!

I would also cut the bit to Chelmsford and come straight down to Ongar from Dunmow. It's a proper biker's route.

Ok sounds good, there is a mid point fuel stop at Duxford

Providing the date does not clash with other commitments, you can count me in. Pick up my new Forza on 1st July, so the ride out will help to run it in!

I'd be up for this. Need to set a date for pie and mash ride.

Played with the map some more now includes through the village Shaw's corner is at, Ayots St Laurence, as its very picturesque also tentatively Saffron Walden for the same reason... not sure about it though as it adds half an hour.
