Hi all, I'm here again to pick your brains as I'm now thinking of buying some type of recording device for my journey. As you can't be safe enough out there with all those numpties about.
I'm not totally oh'fay with these types of things.
I would like the recorder to constantly continue to record for several hours and not have to keep resetting it after a short time.
I'm not looking to take out a mortgage for it or surrender another limb lol
My question is what is a fair price for one and what type might i be looking for.
Hopefully someone might have some idea as i have no clue what to go for.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Dave

There's a chap called Techmoan who posts digicam reviews on Youtube. I've got a funny feeling I saw this review on here somewhere..?

I use a phone app called "Mapmyride" Map My Ride.
Primarily for cycling it can be set for scooter ride in the preferences. it will record your whole journey once started and can be paused when you stop, then started again when you're ready to move off. So long as you don't tap stop/finish but just keep pausing, it will recored your whole journey. When your ride is finished stop it recording and it will then upload the whole trip to the website for you to keep or share if you like. There you can view a google maps view of your ride like the one below.
Best of all it's free and there's an iPhone or Android version.

You can actually get it cheaper from banggood here but you have to get the waterproof case from Joovuu as its their own design I believe
all in all a great camera at around £215 for everything and you can wear it on your chest like grommet does

Honestly... I would not buy the overpriced, over weight, Go Pro when the Mobius has just as good video quality for the job better in some instances. The only thing it lacks in comparison is wifi and faster than 60 fps. The Mobius can be used with that chest mount as can any camera spending only £2 more on a specialized mod clip.

true i was thinking of getting a clip then using my sons bloggie (dont tell him) on the gopro chest mount i got cheap of ebay.. well thats one of my plans as not got the dosh for what i stated above.. just to do a quick test to see the results as never used one before.. the sony bloggie has an F2.4 lens and 60fps at 720 p thought 60fps would be better and up to 4hrs recording time, will only be able to use in the dry but if works out i can get a waterproof Sony MHSTS22 Bloggie Sport normally £199 and i might be able to get a new one for £80, so trying to get this gopro chest plate mount to hold the bloggie
this utube guy is very good at reviewing the lower end of the market to get the choice you might think wont deliver the goods.. but they do at reasonable prices CHEAPEST action cameras from GoPro and Sony and china
